After all the building is complete and the structures are in place, God's people come to Ezra and the Levites to have them read the "Book of the Law of Moses" so they can understand God's word and know what it means for them now. Here we see a community renewed in the story of God's covenant faithfulness and eager to respond with repentance and rejoicing. This passage is an invitation for us to consider how we are receiving and responding to God's word.
