Over 50 years after the completion of the temple, God prompts a second wave of exiles to return to Jerusalem, including Ezra, a scribe "skilled in the Law of Moses." Ezra is described as a leader who "had set his heart to study the Law of the LORD, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel." As we explore Ezra's call, we'll consider what it means to be renovated by the word of God and to grow as leaders within the community.
