The Journey South County

Together Again

Three Ways You Can Engage

In response to our mission, we are asking you to re-engage in these three ways:

Commit to Sunday Services
While we will continue with our Sunday morning services online at 10 a.m. each week, the new schedule will alternate every other week between a One Church virtual service (our current Sunday worship experience) and a new local virtual service!

What this means is that every other week, there will be preaching from Pastor Jason and other South County elders so that we can more regularly speak to the needs and opportunities of our local congregation. We invite you to regularly tune in to our virtual Sunday service, both Journey-wide and locally.

Engage in Our Church Family Gathering
Beginning on Sunday, August 23, at 5 p.m., you will have the opportunity to safely gather in-person
with our South County church family for the purpose of engaging in corporate singing, corporate prayer, and building community.

Put simply, every Sunday night we will come together in Pastor Jason's backyard (right across the parking lot) to sing, to pray, and create space for building relationships and friendship together.

Our time together will last about 45 minutes to an hour, and we would ask that you bring your own chair or blanket, practice social distancing, and wear a mask when attending. You might consider grabbing an umbrella for shade or possible rain as well.

Connect with a Group
Now, more than ever, we all need consistent and intentional ways to connect with, learn from, and care for one another. We believe that this happens best in small group settings called Community Groups. At South County, our desire would be that 100% of our congregation would be in a Community Group this fall; so if you are not yet a part of a group, we ask you to be praying about what that might look like and how the Lord might be leading you to be involved.

In addition to Community Groups, there will also be opportunities to sign up for book studies, Bible studies, and student gatherings. More information will be provided in future communications over the next several weeks about these opportunities as they become available, but if you have any questions or would like to join a Community Group, click the link below.
