The Journey International

Jesus commanded us to make disciples of all nations. It starts in our neighborhoods and extends to the nations. Whether you pray, give or go, we all have a role to play in God's global mission.

The Journey International

The Journey International serves as a ministry of The Journey focused on our church's participation in global missions. We seek to help our church stay faithful to its mission statement:

“We are a diverse community centered on Jesus Christ, seeking to wholly enjoy His grace, faithfully embody His love for one another, and boldly engage our culture with His truth, from our neighborhoods to the nations.”

Though this most directly applies to the final portion of our mission statement, we believe international involvement is a necessary part of our whole vision and mission as a church. Though only some will be sent to labor cross-culturally, all Christians have a role to play in the command of Christ to make disciples among all nations.

Our mission is to strategically train, send, and support members to multiply disciples and churches amongst the world’s unreached.

We endeavor to send 100 of our members to labor amongst 10 unreached people groups in the next 10 years (2027).

One way you can experience the global church and the need for laborers around the world is through a short-term trip. It is our hope that every member of The Journey will, at some point, participate in a short-term mission trip. These trips offer a unique opportunity for spiritual formation and provide a vision for what it looks like to go overseas in a long-term capacity or support others who are already being sent.

Currently, we have three short-term partnerships in countries around the world.

Haiti is a country that has been marked by war, natural disasters, and economic depravity. Since 2010, The Journey has partnered with Christ’s Compassion Church in Haiti, empowering them to share the gospel through education, leadership training, and the construction of their first building.

Japanese people are the second largest unreached people group in the world with a population of 173 million, of which only .25% follow Jesus. The Journey has partnered with Grace Harbor Church, a growing church in the bay area of Tokyo, as they work to serve their city and introduce many Japanese to the Gospel for the very first time.

With over 1.3 billion people, India will soon pass China as the largest country in the world. Over 500,000 villages currently have no Christian influence. The India Gospel League (IGL) is working to take the gospel to these unreached villages. The Journey has recently partnered with IGL in their holistic gospel ministry.

Would you like to know more about serving with us in one of these countries? Fill out the form below so we can learn more about your interest in short-term missions!

Our Mobilization Team is here to help see The Journey's vision to send 100 people to unreached nations in the next 10 years become a reality. We're excited to partner with them to reach our neighborhoods and the nations with the truth of Jesus!
