Journey Kids is a community serving together to cultivate the gospel in the next generation. While we believe that parents are called to be the primary disciplers of their children, we are a church community that wants to partner with parents. We want your child to know that they are part of a community where they will be loved!
Infants—Kindergarten use the “First Look” curriculum from Orange. A monthly theme allows children to explore basic Bible truths in fun and engaging ways. We provide hands-on learning alongside a worship and story time designed just for preschoolers and little ones. We want our youngest kids to know that “God made me. God loves me. Jesus wants to be my friend forever.”
1st—5th grades use The Gospel Project for Kids. Each month kids explore a Big Picture question (ie. What is worship?, Does God keep His promises?). Using this chronological Bible curriculum, we help kids see that every story points to Jesus. Kids explore a weekly Bible story in a large group time and then connect with their small group to more deeply explore the theme through games, activities and discussion.
Journey Kids creates engaging and relationship-focused environments on Sunday mornings during both weekend services for children from 3 months old through 5th grade.
Please note: We are still rebuilding our volunteer team after Covid, so Journey Kids is currently only available for 1 year olds—5th grade at our 8:45 a.m. service.
JK Connect: We believe everyone learns and grows best in the context or relationships, including kids! Throughout the year Journey Kids hosts several events for families to connect with each other.
Journey Kids is a community serving together. We want you to use your gifts and join our team! You could serve as an elementary small group leader, on our preschool team, as a greeter or in host of behind the scenes roles.
