If you’ve been with us for a few weeks, months, or more, but identify as feeling “new” to our community, you are welcome to join us at our Newcomer Lunch on Sunday, April 15, after the morning service. Enjoy lunch, hear from a few of our staff and elders, and learn more about church ministries and our mission and vision.
Please register by April 12. Childcare will be available.
If you play electric guitar and have an interest in either plugging into the worship team, or just meeting and jamming with other musicians, you're invited to bring your gear and join us for the first official South County Worship Workshop on Thursday, April 19, from 7-9 p.m. We'll cover topics ranging from tone selection and effects to best practices when approaching worship music. Email Corbin for more info.
Care 101 Training is a training that teaches basic care principles and strategies and is appropriate for anyone who is in relationships where they provide spiritual, emotional, or physical care. During our time together, we will examine how to love well and enter into people's needs and stories with gospel care. There will be a teaching time as well as practical skills development time. This class will be taught and led by Karis House staff on Saturday, April 21, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Childcare will be available.
This training will focus on child abuse prevention and safety in children's ministry and classroom management strategies. It is open for all current JK volunteers and those interested in serving with our children.
