This is a free event and welcome to all!
I’m excited for you to join us Sunday, October 15th for our next “Family Sunday.” On this day, children in Preschool classes and older are invited to participate with their families in our worship service. There will only be Journey Kids classes for Toddlers, Walkers, and Infants.
On Family Sunday, you’ll see children engaging in the worship service in a variety of ways. There will be a special children’s message at the beginning of service. They will have snacks, juice, and bulletins especially for them. They will even be invited on stage with the worship band to sing a song that they’ve been learning in Journey Kids!
I’m really looking forward to Family Sunday, as there is something truly special about having children present as we worship and learn together. By including children in our service, we are showing that we value them, just as they are. In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, ““Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Our kiddos have a place in the body of Christ and their worship matters. It’s our hope that through regularly including children in the life of our church, children will begin to build a greater picture of the purpose of our church and their place in the body of Christ.
Family Sunday is about the church worshiping together as a family: diverse in age, race, background, and stage of life, but united as children adopted into the family of God through the saving work of Jesus Christ.
See you on Family Sunday!
