All Church Prayer

We would love for you to join us the first Sunday of every month for our all church prayer night. This is an informal event where we pray for personal, church and global things going on in the world around us. Kids are welcome to participate!

Journey Students

Starting in June-July we will not be having our normal students gatherings on Sunday nights. Instead lets hang out during lunch for our lunch bunch. We will meet from 11:30-2pm on Sundays right after service starting this Sunday June 3rd.

The story of The Journey has been one of God using His people over and over again to provide, and we are asking you to prayerfully consider giving above and beyond your normal giving with a generous fiscal year end gift by June 30.
PARTNER WITH US TODAY

Join us June 20th as we give back to our local community. Giving blood helps provide lifesaving resources to patients in need. Email cwatson@thejourney.org or head over to bloodcenterIMPACT.org to sign up. We are looking for 10 individuals to sign up!

AWAKENED AND APPOINTED SERMON

As we say in our mission statement, we want to see gospel spread "from our neighborhoods to the nations." This past month, Scott Hickox, lead pastor of The Journey West County preached on Luke 10 and shared a compelling vision for The Journey International. We want to encourage you to carve out sometime to listen to this powerful sermon and pray about how God might be calling you to partner with us.

Join us for our next Family Growth Hour!

Parents will have the opportunity to learn about a specific area of child development and implementable strategies for strengthening relationships with their kids.  During this time, kids are invited to participate in a Guided Play Hour, in which they will be introduced to a variety of activities related to social and emotional skill building.

Our next topic is "Making Sense of Temperament." Each of us has a certain temperament that shapes how we engage with our day-to-day life. Some of us love busy schedules, others of us need down time. Some of us are really impacted by our physical surroundings, while others of us barely notice. Come learn what shapes our natural dispositions and the various factors that make up one's temperament.

Practical ways to get involved at the Restore Network this summer:

  1. Join a support team-the two biggest needs are for meal delivery (cooking a meal, sending pizza, or dropping off takeout to a family after they receive a new placement) & childcare (spending time with our kids during our monthly support groups and parties). Other support teams include: planning events, praying, tutoring, doing small home projects, shopping, & helping sort and maintain the resource closet. Contact cards are available at the Restore Network booth, the welcome center, or in the church office.
  2. Become a Champion for Hope and use your financial resources to impact our kiddos on a monthly basis-forms are available at the restore network booth or you can donate online here: https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E228429&id=1
  3. Use your gifts! Not everyone is called to foster, but we are all called to use our gifts to impact vulnerable children. Have a unique skill set, resource, or idea? Email Ashley: abennett@therestorenetwork.org
  4. Think God might be calling you to open your home to our children? Join us at our next informational workshop, Foster 101, on June 25th at 6pm. RSVP here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/foster-adopt-101-workshop-st-clair-county-tickets-27170548843

Join us in praying for families that are moving away this summer. The Fasts, The Ryans, The Champagnes, Bizzy Mellado and Jeffrey Johnson have each had a hand in our church and have served in many different capacities. Their presence will be missed but we are excited to see what the Lord has in store next.
