A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR JOHN
Dear Journey Family,

This ministry year, two of the primary focuses are to develop a culture of prayer and better contextualize our ministry for where we are located. I serve as a witness to the growth of prayer in our services. Each week, I see our church’s prayer becoming more fervent for our church, city, and nations. Yet, we want to move that prayer out from the seats of our church and into the streets of this city. Only then can we learn to contextualize our ministry to reach others. This is why The Journey Tower Grove is partnering with other churches in this city to pray for and over this city.

On March 14, 2020, (yes, that is 3.14 just like our city area code), The Journey will be participating in Pray for the Lou. Pray for the Lou’s vision is to ignite and unite prayer all over St. Louis to mobilize the church out of the seats into the streets. Together, churches all over the city will be walking through the 79 neighborhoods of St. Louis city to walk and pray. And, our church will be a gathering spot for the neighborhoods around us.

On the morning of March 14, I invite you to come to our Journey Tower Grove sanctuary to receive instructions and go out together to walk the Tower Grove South neighborhood together. And then, in the afternoon we will join with all the other participants in a closing time of worship and prayer. To learn more about the event and the schedule for the day, visit this page.

Whether you live in St. Louis city or county, this day of prayer is one we can join in together as The Journey Tower Grove. Let’s pray over where God has placed us as a church for the good of our city and for the glory of Jesus Christ! See you there!

Pastor John
