  7. Has organizational skills to manage several teams and projects simultaneously

Basic Job Description

The Journey Kids Intern will work with the Journey Kids Director and Journey Kids Administrator to further the mission and vision of Journey Kids through Sunday morning programming, special events, administrative tasks, and communications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist Journey Kids Director and Journey Kids Administrator with various leadership and administrative tasks
  2. Work as an integral member of leadership teams for special events
  3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of JK rooms and spaces under the oversight of the JK Administrator
  4. Maintain family resources and Seed Packets
  5. Personal development – in collaboration with the Journey Kids Director – read and study a book
  6. Assist in rooms on Sunday mornings as needed, including leading large group for Early Childhood and Elementary.
  7. Assist the JK Director and administrator with other tasks as needed.

Internship Features

  • 12-month period
  • 10 hours per week average
  • Hands-on ministry training
  • Mentoring with experienced church leaders and staff
  • Networking with other children's ministry leaders (internally and externally)

Hours: 5-10 hours per week

Schedule: Flexible

Reports to: Journey Kids Director directly with oversight by Journey Kids Administrator
