What do you believe about discipling
and teaching students?
We believe that 6th-12th graders can be very much a part of the life of our church. They can participate in Sunday services, join service teams, and be invested in what's going on at our church. But they also need opportunities to be discipled by mature believers with others their age.
What programs do you offer?
We meet with our students on Sundays at the church from 7-9 pm. This semester we are studying the Gospel and using "The Chosen" TV series. Every other Sunday is an episode "watch party" with discussion. Then on the following weeks, we dive into the Bible passage the episode was based on.
Our goal is for students to imagine what Jesus was really like while staying grounded in what the Bible says. We can tend to spend a lot of time talking about the work of Christ (which is important!), but we also want our students to know him better and know what he is like. Friendship with Christ is only possible if we get to know him.
