We believe parents are the primary disciple-makers in the lives of their children. We desire to walk alongside families by encouraging, supporting, equipping, and resourcing them to the mission God has called them.
Because God meets us where we are, we desire to engage children where they are, at every age and stage of a child’s development. We want kids to enjoy learning about Jesus and being together. Discovering truth in God’s Word shouldn’t be boring!
We currently use the "First Look" curriculum from Orange for infants through kindergarteners. A monthly theme allows children to explore basic Bible truths in fun and engaging ways. It provides weekly content that seeks to lead these young children to grow up believing that (1) God made me, (2) God loves me, and (3) Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
We use The Gospel Project (Lifeway) for our school age kids. Each month kids explore a Big Picture question (e.g., What is worship?, Does God keep His promises?). Using this chronological Bible curriculum, we help kids see that every story points to Jesus.
We offer children’s ministry during our Sunday services to kids ranging from walkers to fifth grade.
Throughout the year we host many family events, such as park meet-ups, movie nights, game nights, and so much more!
Child Dedication is a special time for the church and new parents to commemorate the birth or adoption of a child corporately. We believe parents & caregivers are the primary faith influencers in their child’s life, but they are by no means alone. We, as a church, want to partner with you by equipping you with resources and support as you lead your family. It is also the desire of our entire church body to pray for and shepherd families and their children.
Our team members make Journey Kids great! The special impact they have on the lives of the families they serve has eternal impact!
